Hestraviken is a family-owned countryside hotel, established in 1965 and beautifully situated in the county of Småland, in Southern Sweden. Nearby, there is a golf course and a ski area for downhill skiing.

The hotel has been recently renovated and offers 44 double rooms, 5 suites, 6 conference rooms, and a restaurant with 150 seats and a well-renowned kitchen. For recreation, guests can enjoy the Riverside Spa, swimming pool, canoes, boats, bicycles, and more.

We have 38 employees and an annual revenue of approximately SEK 50 million. Our guests include business travelers, conference delegates, and leisure guests, of whom approximately 30% are international visitors.

Tasks:

As a Chef, you will work in our kitchen, both independently and as part of a team. Your responsibilities include food preparation and cooking of starters, main courses, desserts, cold and hot buffets, pastries, and more.

We serve everything from classic Swedish dishes to à la carte menus and banquets. The kitchen focuses on Swedish cuisine with influences from Mediterranean cuisine.

Personal Profile and Skills

• You have at least 3 years of professional experience working as a Chef

• You have a genuine passion for cooking

• You enjoy working as part of a team and understanding the importance of making a positive contribution to the group, while also being able to work independently

• You are a careful and responsible person who is accustomed to working at a fast pace

• You have a good eye for details

• You have good English communication skills

Type of contract and working hours:

This position is a permanent one, with a six-month probationary period. Working hours are full-time and varied. It may include daytime, evenings, and weekends.

Salary:

The monthly salary is individually negotiated depending on experience, with a range of EUR 2,800–3,200 per month. In addition to the basic salary, you will receive additional compensation for working unsocial hours.

Accommodation:

There is no accommodation available directly at the hotel. However, there is an opportunity to rent an apartment in the nearby village of Nissafors, approximately 2 km from the hotel. There are also several larger villages within 20 km that offer apartments or houses, but a car is required. We can assist you with finding suitable accommodation.
