About the role
As an Hybrid Cloud Computing Architect specializing in cloud and database technologies, you will play a key role in transforming on-premises databases towards public cloud and autonomous database services, designing scalable, secure, and cost-conscious solutions.

Work tasks
In this role, you will lead the database modernization journey, collaborating with global teams and suppliers to architect secure, scalable cloud-native database solutions.
- Take architectural responsibility for cloud and database solutions, including security, performance, and integrations
- Support the transformation of on-premises database environments towards public cloud and autonomous database services
- Develop and design new database and cloud-based data platform services, improving usability and maintainability
- Contribute to cloud migration planning, database modernization, and architecture reviews with application teams
- Collaborate with the Chief Architect to support roadmap development and long-term technology direction
- Align business roadmaps with database and cloud technology roadmaps, considering capacity, security, and cost
- Support external BUILD development and ensure smooth, well-documented handovers to RUN operations
We are looking for
- Strong understanding of database technologies, such as Oracle and SQL Server
- Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts, public cloud services, and migration approaches
- Experience or strong interest in autonomous database services and managed database platforms
- Basic knowledge of project management and agile methodologies
- Experience in supplier management and collaborating with technology vendors and application teams
It is meritorious if you have
- Understanding of performance optimization, security compliance, and lifecycle management
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical architectural roadmaps
- Excellent communication and coordination skills in a global environment
