CFO / Project Finance Director

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Lead financial modelling, financing structures, investor communication and financial governance for the investment programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain project financial models and the consolidated programme model.

· Develop CAPEX, OPEX, cash-flow, debt and equity scenarios.

· Prepare bank, investor and government-financing negotiations.

· Evaluate climate finance, DFI and other development-finance opportunities.

· Lead financial due diligence and support investment decisions.

· Manage financial reporting, covenants and financing risks.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITY

· Strong corporate-finance / project-finance background.

· Experience financing major capital projects.

· Excellent financial modelling capability.

· Ability to negotiate with lenders and investors in English.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

· International project-finance experience.

· Knowledge of DFI, export credit, climate funds or government financing.

· Energy or infrastructure project experience.

KEY SUCCESS MEASURES

· Financeable project structures.

· Accurate and decision-useful financial models.

· Financing milestones achieved in line with project schedule.

RECRUITMENT PRINCIPLE

We are looking first and foremost for hands-on implementers with a proven record of taking real industrial or infrastructure projects from planning through procurement, construction, commissioning and operation.

The roles are part of an international renewable-energy, circular-economy, biorefining and industrial side-stream utilisation investment programme with Côte dIvoire as the principal implementation country. The portfolio includes both fast-start production projects and later large-scale industrial investments.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

A reasonable level of working English is essential. French language skills are a major advantage.

EMPLOYMENT AND LOCATION

Employment form, work location and travel requirements will be defined role by role. Some positions may begin in Finland or elsewhere in Europe, but several key roles will require significant presence in Côte dIvoire during implementation phases.
